THE SOURCING DIRECTORY
Choose a Wheaton/Glen Ellyn resale cluster, a Carol Stream or Naperville thrift comparison, or a separate Aurora-to-Batavia drive. Seven editable shortlists help keep your western-suburban sourcing day focused.

These suburbs offer different ways to buy. Start with clothing, general thrift or furniture; check the opening day and give yourself room to inspect items. The suggested stop order is editable, not an optimized driving route.
The two STARS branches and Treasure House are separate shops. Use their individual profiles to choose clothing, household goods or a general browse. Donation windows end before shopping hours and vary between branches.
Second Take is curated women’s consignment. Family Shelter Service Resale carries clothing and home goods for a different shopping model. Compare actual condition, sizes and prices rather than expecting the same stock or margins.
Jubilee Furniture, Acosta’s Home and The Perfect Thing offer furniture and decor. Acosta’s includes new merchandise as well as consignments. Twice Is Nice adds general nonprofit thrift in Carol Stream.
Aurora/Batavia is a separate driving shortlist, with Warehouse 55’s current First Street address. The directory also includes Elmhurst, Downers Grove, Lombard and North Riverside alternatives. They are not all stops in one route. Thrift and Dollar remains draft pending current hours.
START WITH A SHORTLIST
These are starting points, not timed or optimized routes. Check each shop’s current hours, then change the order or remove stops. Opening a shortlist does not replace your saved trip.
Compare STARS Front Street, STARS Main Street and Treasure House. Remove a branch if two general thrift stops already fill your shopping time.
Tuesday-Saturday is the recorded overlap. Treasure House closes at 4pm; both STARS shops close at 5pm. STARS donation exceptions differ by branch.
Open nonprofit thrift shortlistStart with Second Take’s curated clothing, then compare Family Shelter Service Resale’s donated clothing and home goods. These are separate suburban stops; check the drive and choose the order that suits your starting point.
Wednesday-Saturday is the recorded overlap. Family Shelter Service closes at 4pm. Second Take intake is Wednesday/Sunday 4pm-6pm, separate from retail hours.
Open clothing comparison shortlistChoose Acosta’s Home, The Perfect Thing and Jubilee Furniture for furnishings and decor. Measure the item, vehicle opening and available load space; arrange delivery or collection before paying.
Wednesday-Saturday is the recorded overlap. Jubilee is Wednesday-Friday 10am-8pm and Saturday 9am-4pm. Earlier closing times at the other shops may make a different order more practical.
Open furniture shortlistPair Twice Is Nice for general secondhand shopping with Jubilee for furniture. Skip large purchases if the vehicle, storage space or delivery cost does not fit.
Wednesday-Friday both are listed open from 10am; Saturday Twice Is Nice closes at 3pm and Jubilee at 4pm. Donation hours are shorter than shopping hours.
Open Carol Stream shortlistCompare nonprofit Goodwill Carol Stream with Savers, a for-profit thrift operator. These are separate shops on Schmale Road and Gary Avenue, so use directions and inspect the categories you actually sell.
Both have recorded daily shopping schedules. Goodwill opens at 9am; Savers opens at 9am Tuesday-Saturday, 8am Monday and 10am Sunday. Check the individual profiles for closing times and donation-hour differences.
Open Carol Stream thrift shortlistStart with Family Shelter Service Resale, then compare Goodwill and Savers if time permits. Keep this clothing/general-household trip separate from ReStore shopping unless home-improvement inventory fits your plan.
Wednesday-Saturday: plan the nonprofit resale stop before its 4pm close. The two general-thrift branches have later recorded hours. Reorder for your starting point and confirm exceptions before leaving.
Open Naperville resale shortlistCompare Goodwill Aurora with Warehouse 55 Batavia and Goodwill Batavia. This is a drive between towns, not a walking cluster. Warehouse 55’s current Batavia address is 160 First Street; do not navigate to its former Aurora address.
Daily 10am-5pm recorded overlap. Warehouse 55 closes at 5pm, before the two Goodwill branches. Thrift and Dollar remains off this shortlist while its current schedule is unconfirmed.
Open Aurora and Batavia shortlistCheck each shop’s owner page before leaving. Hours here are source-reviewed regular schedules, not live opening status or holiday guarantees.
Consignment shops and donation thrift shops use different buying models. A familiar label alone does not establish a resale margin; inspect wear, fabric, size and current sold comparables.
For furniture, check measurements, condition, lifting help and the collection deadline. Do not assume delivery is free or that staff will load an unsuitable vehicle.
STARS Front Street does not accept donations on Wednesdays; Main Street does not accept them on Thursdays. Both list donation hours ending at 2pm. These are not shopping closures.

Yes. Opening a shortlist lets you review and edit it. It does not replace your saved trip until you choose to save.
No. It covers the shops currently listed in these four cities, with room for verified additions.
FROM SOURCING TO SELLING
Check the shopping day, pick your buying categories and keep an optional stop rather than committing to every shop.
Record condition, measurements and total costs. Check current sold comparables before buying; do not substitute a store reputation for item research.
Keep intake within your photography, storage and listing capacity. A productive trip ends with inventory you can identify and process.
Keep planning with the free profit calculator, condition-notes guide and printable sourcing checklist. Clothing sellers can also use the research library before buying.

YOUR SOURCING DAY
Add up to 20 stops, then use Move up / Move down to set your order. Check shopping hours before heading out. Directions follow your order; they do not optimize it.
Between-stop straight-line distances use approximate map pins. Rough driving ranges assume roads add 20–60% distance, with 20–35 mph for legs under 15 straight-line miles and 35–55 mph for longer legs. These are planning assumptions, not calculated road routes. Rivers, road layouts, traffic and parking can make actual travel much longer. Excludes your journey to the first stop, return home and shopping time. Check the route and current timing in Google Maps.
Your trip is empty. Choose “Add to trip” on a store card or map pin.
Longer trips open in groups of four stops so every stop is included on phones. Your saved trip stays in this browser and does not sync across devices. In private/incognito browsing, it is removed when you close the private session. Copy the share link to keep a portable version. A shared link contains only public store IDs.
